Hi All!
For the past 14 months filmmaker John Scheinfeld has been making a new film exploring the unusual love affair between a great city, Chicago, and its baseball team, the Cubs. About hope, faith and optimism, John tried to make a smart, thought-provoking, uplifting, powerful and passionate documentary that is as much about heart and wonderful human moments, as much about family and tradition as it is about baseball. Among those appearing in the film and offering their unique perspectives on America, baseball, and the city of Chicago and its people are Billy Corgan (Smashing Pumpkins), Bob Costas, Dennis Franz (“NYPD Blue”), Jeff Garlin (“Curb Your Enthusiasm”), legendary Blues musician Buddy Guy, Hugh Hefner, Bonnie Hunt, Joe Mantegna, George Will, Cubs legends Ernie Banks, Billy Williams and Ron Santo, plus are interviews with Bud Selig, Commissioner of Major League Baseball and Francis Cardinal George, the Archbishop of Chicago. Among artists contributing songs to the film are Chicago, Earth, Wind & Fire, Steve Goodman, Paul McCartney, Plain White T’s, Frank Sinatra, Bruce Springsteen and Umphrey’s McGee. The narrator is Gary Sinise. We recently had a ‘One Night Only’ benefit screening on Friday, June 12th at the historic Chicago Theater. We are currently weighing offers from theatrical and DVD distributors as well as cable networks and we anticipate that additional offers will be forthcoming following the screening. Our goal is to have our distribution plans in place in the next few months. With abundant excitement and passion for the film we would like to share with you the poster for the film and a link to the trailer which just went up on You Tube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SD7571RlP2c |
